California King Bedding 110x100 (279x254cm)

Quick answer: California King / oversized bedding

California King (oversized) duvets and duvet covers measure 110" x 100" (279 cm x 254 cm) — 8" wider and 10" longer than a standard King at 102" x 90" (259 cm x 229 cm). It's the correct size for California King mattresses, deep or pillow-top mattresses, and couples who don't want to fight over the covers. Most Canadian retailers only stock standard King — Down Under Bedding carries the true 110" x 100" (279 cm x 254 cm) size in both the duvet and matching covers.

Size Comparison: California King vs Standard King

Who Needs This Size

California King mattresses (72" × 84" / 183 cm × 213 cm)
Deep, thick, or pillow-top mattresses (15"–20" / 38 cm–51 cm) where standard King bedding rides up and exposes the sides
Couples who want full coverage on both sides — the extra 8" (20 cm) of width means no more tug-of-war or waking up cold because your partner pulled the duvet away
Anyone who has struggled to find this specialty size — most Canadian and US retailers only stock standard King

Complete the Set

For the system to fit properly, pair a 110" x 100" (279 cm x 254 cm) duvet insert with a 110" x 100" (279 cm x 254 cm) cover — a standard King duvet inside this cover will bunch and shift. All the products in this collection share the same 110" x 100" (279 cm x 254 cm) sizing so they fit together correctly.
