If possible, you should utilize commercial-sized machines at a laundromat, as the duvet soaks up a lot of water. Wash your duvet in cold water on a delicate cycle and only use a small amount of detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners.
Let your duvet air dry in a well-ventilated room or outside in the sun. You can also tumble dry it on ‘low heat’ if air drying is impossible. To maintain freshness and quality between washes, hang your duvet in the sun on a dry day for 1-3 hours.
