The pillow comes with an easily removable zipper cover that is machine washable and does not shrink while washing. It has strength and durability while being super soft, ideal for sensitive skin. The cover is porous, providing increased moisture-wicking abilities and greater airflow for a more incredible night’s sleep. This soft cover has excellent anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and temperature-regulating properties.
To make the charcoal, sustainably grown bamboo is heated to 800 °C. The charcoal is then processed into ultra-fine nanoparticles embedded into the fabric of the cover and memory foam. The carbon fibers from the charcoal produce negative ions. Negative ions improve sleep quality. They help you fall asleep easier and keep you asleep for longer.
Carbon fibers are heat conductors, providing the ultimate warmth. They have a high-absorbance capacity because of the unique micro-cell structure, which helps to wick away moisture and control humidity. They can also absorb toxic, harmful, and poisonous substances from the atmosphere. Charcoal also neutralizes odor and prevents the growth of harmful bacteria, ensuring a hygienic odor-free sleep. Charcoal has enhanced airflow and breathability, promoting cooling for the perfect temperature balance while you sleep.
This foam is made without ozone depleters and any PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants that are often toxic. It is also made without traces of mercury, lead, or other heavy metals. There is no formaldehyde or phthalates in this foam. It has Low Volatile Organic Compound Emissions, which improves indoor air quality. The Consumer Product Safety Commission regulates it.
A pillow protector is highly recommended as it will enhance and extend the life and quality of any pillow. The removable outside cover is machine washable. Please remove it from the pillow, turn it inside out, close the zipper, and wash it gently in warm water. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly after the cycle ends. Do not iron or dry clean. Do not machine wash the memory foam insert, as this will damage the memory foam. Spot clean with a small amount of detergent and warm water. Allow the spot to air dry.
