The DOWN UNDER BEDDING RDS Empress White Down Duvet is filled with 100% white duck down, which has a 650 loft power that provides an extremely fluffy duvet. It hugs and adjusts to your body to provide the ultimate comfort and insulation.

This duvet also has extreme breathability, so it will keep you warm without overheating.

The shell is made from 330 thread count 100% natural dobby dots cotton that is so soft and durable. It holds the down securely in place, keeping it all safely inside, providing ultimate long-lasting protection.

The natural pure down filling is Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified. This duvet is eco-friendly and hypoallergenic. Filled and Finished in Canada.

Benefits of an RDS Down Comforter:

Down has the natural ability to loft and mold itself to your specific body shape. It is naturally breathable and wicks away moisture and perspiration, keeping your sleeping environment warm and dry.

Down is the warmest insulation material. Each ounce of high-quality down has approximately 2 million fluffy filaments that overlap and interlock to form a protective layer that keeps the warmth in and the cold out.

Down has the lowest carbon footprint of all insulating materials. Used for thousands of years, it is natural, biodegradable, compostable, sustainable, and eco-friendly.

When cared for properly, down can last for generations and can be enjoyed for many years. High quality down used in bedding is put through rigorous cleaning processes and treatments to ensure they are hypoallergenic.

No more sniffling and sneezing to disrupt your sleep.

What is Responsible Down Standard (RDS)?

The Responsible Down Standard aims to ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to any unnecessary harm.

The incentive is to practice respectful and humane treatment of ducks and geese. The standard recognizes and rewards the best practices in animal welfare.

Not only farmers but brands and supply chain members need to meet obligations to respect the Five Freedoms of the animals.

RDS gives you the confidence that the down and feather products carrying the RDS logo are 100% certified.

Down Comforter Care Instructions:

Always use a duvet cover to protect your duvet, and for easier maintenance. Do not machine wash your down duvet as this can lead to leakage of the down.

Spot clean only with warm water and a small amount of mild soap or detergent. Allow the spot to air dry. In order to refresh your duvet, you can hang it outside to air dry in the sun for a few hours.

This helps to disinfect the down filling. It is recommended to fluff your duvet every morning after use in order to redistribute the down filling, you can do this by shaking it by hand.

Best All-Season Duvet

I really got confused about what to choose between duck down and goose down duvet. One is this Empress duvet, and the other is a goose down summer duvet here https://downunderbedding.com/collections/duvets-1/products/white-goose-down-summer-duvet
Both the products were at the same price. Then I found the goose down comforter is only good for the summer. It was lightweight, and the loft power was less than the Empress duvet.
But I was looking for something a bit warmer for the winter. After a quick check, I found the Empress duck down duvet, which had a 650 loft power. The thread count of the cotton shell of this duvet was also greater. So, I picked this one.
After getting the delivery, I was just amazed at how good this duvet was. That plush coming from a duck down duvet was so cherished. I promptly went to bed to try the duvet, and the comfort was mesmerizing.
The cotton shell was so soft that I didn’t feel any irritation on the skin. Even after being under the duvet for a good while, it wasn’t extremely hot inside. But the ‘oomph’ I needed was right there.
The biggest problem with my previous duvet was it didn’t conform to my body while sleeping. I felt there were holes and crevasses here and there. Those little air pockets contained discomfort.
But the Empress down duvet does the opposite and holds me perfectly so that there is no air pocket inside. And, no matter how hard I push the duvet, it stays fluffy and comfortable.
This was my first time shopping from Down Under and definitely not the last time. I am fully satisfied with their product and service and will come back in the future.

Premium Duck Down Duvet!

Buying a good down duvet for the winter was my primary target when I entered the Down Under website for the first time. I clicked on the duvet tab and found a large number of different duvets.
There were several duvets in the same price range. I got curious and opened all of them in different tabs. One of those was this, the Empress duck down duvet. The other two were White Down Duvet and Goose Down Summer Weight Duvet. You can see those products here.
White Down Duvet - https://downunderbedding.com/collections/duvets-1/products/hungarian-white-down-duvet
Goose Down Summer Weight Duvet - https://downunderbedding.com/collections/duvets-1/products/white-goose-down-summer-duvet
While these duvets had a loft power of 550, the Empress one got a 650 loft power. The outer shell of the Empress duvet was made of 330 thread count cotton. But the latter two were made of 289 thread count cotton.
The fun thing is, I was getting all three of these at the same price. So, which one did I choose? Obviously, the first one. The Empress down duvet impressed me with its look and features.
And when I got the duvet, the fluff was mind-blowing. It still has that fluff and keeps me warm while I sleep. But there are no overheating issues as the duvet is highly breathable.
Uh, one more thing about the cotton shell of this duvet. Those dots on the shell looks so cool. Many might like decorative patterns on the shell, but I am comfortable with this simple design.
Talking about the service, the delivery was prompt, and I got the duvet nicely packed. And I got free shipping too! It was overall a very pleasant experience to purchase the duvet from Down Under Bedding. Keep up the good work.

Very Impressive!

Here are a few things I have experienced after using this duck down duvet.
• The first thing is, the packaging was very nice. They really took time and care to pack this duvet to avoid getting hurt while reaching me. This was a sign of dedication to customer service. Even though the shipping was free, Down Under put enough importance on it.
• Out of the box, the duvet was purely elegant. The dazzling white duvet fitted my bedroom interior so well, and everything looked seamless.
• The fluff on this duvet was amazing. The duvet holds its fluff from the very beginning to date, no matter how roughly I use it. Getting such fluff from a duvet under $200 was a great deal for me.
• The cotton shell has nice patterns on it. It is so soft that I can wrap the duvet around me without any problem.
• It perfectly molds to my body and ensures I am completely insulated to get the maximum warmth possible. But still, it never gets too hot to be uncomfortable while I sleep. As a result, my sleep quality has improved a lot.
• I didn’t experience any sneezing that used to happen with my older duvets. They say this duvet is hypoallergenic, and I think that works here. No bad odor is coming from the duvet.
• A wide gusset is there to ensure the duvet holds its fluff even after many usages. It never felt too heavy on me.
• It would be great if I got a duvet cover with the package. But still, I would love to thank Down Under Bedding for such a good product and their customer service. They are highly recommended for all your bedding products.

Thanks Regina
